Optimized 3D model for AR and added various configuration options, interior viewing mode, and analytics tools. App available on tablet in 150+ Polestar Spaces in 65 countries with localized content. A uniquely innovative Augmented Reality App

As a project manager for the creative AR/VR agency Capitola, I had the opportunity to work on an exciting project for the Polestar car brand. With their ambitious goal of releasing a new car model every year, the delivery of their latest model, the Polestar 3, was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. In response, Polestar set up a tender for a virtual car application that would showcase the Polestar 3 in AR. This presented a significant challenge, as the 3D model of the car needed to be optimized for Augmented Reality, including a complete retopology, various configuration options, and an interior viewing mode.

As project manager, I was responsible for the acquisition phase of the project, the initial setup, and the project management of the Polestar 3 AR App. Through close collaboration with my team, we were able to deliver a high-quality AR app that was available on tablet in over 150 Polestar Spaces (retail store) in 65 countries. We localized all content for each language and market, ensuring that the app was accessible and user-friendly for a global audience.

To further enhance the user experience, we created advanced analytics and monitoring tools that enabled us to see exactly how the app was used and how consumers focused their attention on specific car features. This information was invaluable in allowing us to make improvements and optimize the user journey. The success of this project has helped establish Capitola as a leading player in the AR/VR industry and has further solidified my expertise in product development, marketing, and customer support.
