As the marketing director at Chromeburner, I achieved significant improvements in order fulfillment speed by implementing a system for collective data-entry using barcode scanning, built a custom in-house 360 packshot & video review studio, automated the image isolation process, and produced 600 pages of original product descriptions in English & Dutch by efficiently outsourcing writing & translation, which improved the overall customer experience and drive sales for the company.
In 2015, I was asked by old client to join their fast-growing startup in Motor gear Fashion. The company was located in Waalwijk and was then called Zone212. The webshop back then was quite minimal, but business on e-bay was truly taking off, and the number of orders were rising enormously. I accepted the position of Marketing Director, solving the myriad of challenges of young company that was going from startup to scale-up.
First, I worked on the name and positioning of the company. Zone212 wasn't easy to pronounce and there was quite some confusion around the brand name. Also, a great-sounding .com domain name would be ideal in order to facilitate the global ambitions, but good brand names were very scarce. After some searching and brainstorming, I found the domain Chromeburner.com to be still free and claimed it immediately.

With the capacity to also shoot Product review video's in the same space. Another major accomplishment was building a 360 packshot & video review studio, with advanced capabilities. I oversaw the construction of a custom in-house studio that could process objects ranging from 1 cm to 250 cm in size. I also automated the image isolation process, using new technologies to extract even glossy and semi-transparent materials. This system was used to create around 400 rotating packshots in 360 degrees that were uniquely used for the Chromeburner website.
In addition to these technical achievements, I also managed to produce 600 pages of original product descriptions in English & Dutch by efficiently outsourcing writing & translation.
