Makito Brand Revitalization: Elevating Affordable Promotional Products

Introduction

This case study outlines our comprehensive branding and marketing strategy for Makito, a subsidiary of WinBenelux specializing in high-volume, affordable promotional articles for the international market. Our team was tasked with revitalizing the brand's visual identity and creating a cohesive marketing ecosystem for the Dutch department.

Project Scope

Our work encompassed brand identity refinement, website redesign, print catalogue creation, tradeshow materials development, custom product visualization, and marketing collateral design.

Brand Identity and Website

We reimagined Makito's visual identity to reflect its core values of affordability and quality. The new design language featured a glossy, plastic-inspired aesthetic with rounded elements for a modern, approachable feel, and a vibrant color palette dominated by blue and orange tones. This refreshed identity was prominently showcased in the website redesign, creating an immersive and user-friendly digital experience.

Print and Tradeshow Materials

To support Makito's offline marketing efforts, we developed a comprehensive print catalogue, eye-catching tradeshow displays (including a standout Marilyn Monroe-themed installation), and versatile promotional mockups for various product lines.

Custom Product Visualization

Our team created high-quality visual mockups to showcase Makito's extensive product range with customized branding, enhancing the sales process by allowing potential clients to envision their logos and designs on Makito's promotional items.

Conclusion

The Makito project presented a unique opportunity to exercise creative freedom in brand design. By translating the plastic, rounded aesthetic into a cohesive brand identity, we successfully elevated Makito's market presence. The project's success was further bolstered by our focus on user experience, particularly in designing an easily navigable catalogue that streamlined the customer journey. This project demonstrates our ability to handle complex, multi-faceted branding initiatives while maintaining a keen focus on the client's unique market position and target audience. We developed a distinctive, modern brand identity, created a user-centric website and print catalogue, designed impactful tradeshow materials, and streamlined the product visualization process.
