This journey began in 2015 when I joined the fast-growing Waalwijk-based startup, then known as Zone212, to address the challenges of rapid expansion.
My first major initiative was a strategic rebrand. Recognizing the limitations of the Zone212 name, I secured the powerful Chromeburner.com domain, laying the groundwork for global expansion. This rebranding effort included developing a compelling visual identity and overseeing the design and implementation of a cutting-edge Magento e-commerce platform.
To set Chromeburner apart in the competitive e-commerce landscape, I conceptualized and built an in-house 360° packshot and video review studio. This advanced facility could process objects from 1cm to 250cm in size, utilizing automated image isolation technology to extract even glossy and semi-transparent materials. The result was over 400 unique 360° rotating packshots that significantly enhanced the online shopping experience.
Content creation and localization were critical to our global strategy. I managed the production of 600 pages of original, engaging product descriptions in both English and Dutch, implementing an efficient outsourcing strategy for writing and translation. This effort was complemented by overseeing the photography, editing, post-production, and uploading of hundreds of products in 360°.
Operational excellence was a key focus area. I streamlined order fulfillment by implementing a barcode scanning system for collective data entry and automating the logistics/ERP system across multiple channels.
